As part of practicing gratitude this month, Mrs. Reece's class had a wonderful idea to donate gently used winter clothing to the Downriver Foster Closet. What a thoughtful and kind class! If you are cleaning out your closets and have gently used items that are no longer being used in your household, please consider donating them. You can send them in with your child. There is a collection bin right outside of the front office. Thank you for your help and support!

PTO is hosting a dinner night at Buddy's on Tuesday, November 21st!

On October 5, kindergarteners went on an exciting field trip to The Real Life Farm! They had an absolute blast interacting with the animals, learning about the different chores they do on the farm, and even getting their hands dirty while doing the chores.

Please join us on Thursday at 4:00 pm for our October PTO meeting either in person or virtually! There will be childcare provided and play time in the gymnasium! We look forward to seeing everyone there! 😊💙

The Green School competition is BACK! Chapman is in the running to win $1,500 for our Green School program for earning the most pledges of individuals who agree to keep a storm drain clean! Today, I read the Creepy Carrots book to Mrs. Sperbeck's class, had the students create their own creepy carrot, and I shared a fun Halloween snack with them. We had so much fun! Most of the students shared their carrots with me to display in the library. :-) - Mrs. Provost

Our students' hard work decorates our hallways so beautifully! 4th grade hanger projects in the Media Center depict their learning of the 3 branches of our government.
