If you’ve recently moved, please notify us to keep your child’s records up to date.

How to Update Your Address:

  • Visit the office at any of your child’s school buildings. Call the school’s main office in advance to let them know you’re coming.

  • Bring three (3) acceptable proofs of residency to complete the change.

Change of Address - Residency Affidavit

A Residency Affidavit is required when you live in a home that you do not own, lease, or rent (living with someone else). A residency affidavit is valid for one school year only and must be updated prior to the beginning of the next school year.

To complete a Residency Affidavit:

  1. The homeowner must accompany the parent/guardian during registration/address change.

  2. The homeowner must provide three (3) acceptable proofs of residency.

  3. Both the homeowner and parent/guardian must provide photo ID.

  4. Both parties must complete and sign the Residency Affidavit, which will be notarized on-site.

  • For Lakeshore Virtual School students: Affidavits can be completed at your school office, please call 734.379.7090

  • For all other Gibraltar School District students: Affidavits must be processed at the district office. Please schedule an appointment to complete this process.
